For thirty years I have worked as a
carpenter. For the last ten years I've been working on high end
homes and camps in the Adirondacks. While working on the new Great
Camps there has been a constant demand for built in vanities and kitchen
cabinets that look like they have been there for years. With the
knowledge in hand that it was a very good possibility that the
caretakers built quite a bit of these cabinets I have been working on a
line of distressed furniture that resembles such work.
A couple of years ago I decided that it was
time to start making furniture full time. While building my shop I
spent a lot of time searching for distressed rustic &
"Adirondack Rustic" furniture that no one makes. Such as
"Adirondack Rustic" Corner Hutch's, Corner TV Stands, Wide
Screen TV entertainment centers, along with my distressed line of
furniture.
During this time I've searched for hinges and
handles that fit the furniture. Even though the very old style
hinges and twig handles go well with the distressed Rustic furniture,
they didn't seem to fit what I had in mind for the "Adirondack
Rustic" furniture.

While doing research in old woodworking
magazines I came across an article on homemade wooden hinges and
handles. You will find these hinges and handles on most of my
"Adirondack Rustic" furniture.
Perhaps you're looking for a piece of furniture
to fit a certain space. Your kitchen cabinets a little different
than you've seen somewhere else. Perhaps you're looking for
hand coped Cedar railings.
I'll be happy to build to your design or help
you design just what it is that your looking for, to make your camp more
fitting to your personality.
